Yay! Springtime is here! We've had a crazy few weeks from having a few days in early February where it was 70 degrees and we spent a few hours at the park, and then it snowed again just last week! I took the kids sledding for the first time this season. I'm glad we haven't had much snow, but I'm glad they got to go sledding at least once.
Kenley had her father-daughter dance at school, and they had a great time. She looked so grown up, and I think I had as much fun as they did even though I didn't go to the event. I helped her pick out her outfit, and painted her nails, and curled her hair. She really is getting so grown up, and I like it, but I don't!! She's in gymnastics and ballet and tap right now, and she's looking forward to deciding what activities she's going to sign up for over the summer. She is doing so well in school, and she has already passed the most advanced levels for reading and spelling tests. I love her eagerness to learn, and she has been coming home and doing a lot of reading and writing on her own. It's hard to believe Kindergarten is almost over, but she has learned SO much this year.
Charlie is doing well in school, and for the most part, he likes it. His teacher told me that they have to "trick" him into doing his papers because he doesn't really want to be bothered with school work. I know he loves the socializing and playing, but right now he isn't quite so into the academic part. Next year he will be going to a new pre-school that seems really awesome, and I think it will be great for him before he is onto Kindergarten. He's getting rea
Rylee is 8 months old now, and as sweet as ever. She's about to full-on crawl any day, and her two top teeth have started to come in. I can't squeeze her enough or give her enough kisses in a day. She loves to babble and laugh, and of course her favorite word is "dada." She's eating lots of food and loves it all: pancakes, pizza, spaghetti, anything in her reach! I'm still in awe at what a good baby she is. I honestly can't think of one time where she cried inconsolably, or that I had a hard time with her. Unbelievable!! I guess I'm getting good Karma for everything I went though with Charlie as a baby :)
This weekend we are honored to be the Godparents for our nephew Kenny at his baptism. I'm looking forward to seeing the little man in his outfit! We're also ready to spend some quality family time together during Kenley's Spring Break.
